Songwriting for Teens

Date: Monday, August 4 - Friday, August 8 at MCMC

Times: 3:30 - 5:30 pm daily

In this weeklong workshop, students will…write their own songs! Over the course of the week, teens will be guided through writing lyrics, composing melodies, creating chord progressions, and exploring song structures. The group will develop and workshop songwriting skills in a creative and supportive environment, culminating in an open mic performance at a local Middlebury venue. Beginner songwriters are welcome. Some musical background is recommended. Ages 12-18
