Join us for the Tambourine Song Collection this Spring!

You'll learn twenty-five Music Together songs and activities you can recreate at home, including our first French-Canadian folk song, "V'là l'bon vent." Your children will experience the contrast between galloping, slowing, sleeping, then jumping up with delight to gallop again in "See the Pony Galloping." In addition to your weekly classes, your tuition includes recordings and materials for you to use at home, including an illustrated songbook and access to the songs through the Music Together app.

Rhythm Kids®

Join us for Rhythm Kids®!

We are delighted to offer Rhythm Kids®, a class for ages 4–8 developed by the internationally acclaimed Music Together® program.

Rhythm Kids® is an exciting and comprehensive music, movement, and drumming program that helps children complete the pathway of early childhood music development. Rhythm Kids classes are designed to help children develop their rhythm skills and gain a deeper level of musical understanding, preparing them for formal music instruction.

Join us for the Toucan Collection!

In the Toucan Collection, we'll explore the Toucan Rhythm featuring drumming patterns from Brazil, as heard on "In Rio." Children will discover the fun of Samba music and dancing with the song "Sambalale"—and even learn to sing a verse in Portuguese! We'll sing and move to "Wang Boto e Kong," a beautiful song about a boat from Suriname. And, of course, we will sing, hop, and fly like Toucans over the rainforests of South America as we sing and drum along to "Two Toucans."

Making musical memories together

“The part about this that I think is the most helpful is the support it gives the parents. Just in terms of encouraging you. I had more of a musical background, my wife less, so for her, she’s sort of not as comfortable, and I’ve seen her get a lot more comfortable, like she would never sing before, because she was like, “I have a terrible voice,” you know? And now she sings all the time with us. It feels like it just sort of encourages us to be more musical with her, and gives my wife more confidence.”

Many times I need a piano student to sing/hum a tune so that we can isolate the melody and discuss rhythm or articulation. I can tell right away if a student has participated in a Music Together® or Rhythm Kids® class because they are not afraid to isolate that melody and it seems quite natural for them to do that. However, students who haven’t practiced that skill in a Music Together® or Rhythm Kids® in general feel very self-conscious or struggle to find the notes they want within their own bodies. I love that our Early Childhood Music Program is equipping students to recognize that they THEMSELVES are the music makers, and not their instruments and to be confident in their music-making abilities!

Early musical engagement

“When we first came, we weren’t sure how she would respond, but she loves it. And so, she really engaged with it, even when she was two months old, we thought it might be too much, but she was just mesmerized. I grew up with a very musical childhood, so it’s just important. We sing a lot at home.”
