Auditions are for students that did not attend the camp in the previous year.

The audition is done via video. Use a computer, phone, tablet or camera to record. The audition’s purpose is to ensure the student has the appropriate skill level to be successful at camp. Returning campers do not need to submit a video.

Please submit the videos as soon as possible, no later than June 1, 2024. Please email them to Ron White: ronwhite@mcmcvt.org.

You will submit two videos – please follow the instructions below:

Video One: Scale

A video of the student performing a two octave scale following the instructions on the scale sheet. Perform the scale at quarter note = 60.

State your name, instrument and scale.

Example: Ron White, double bass, One Octave G Major

Video Two: Performing a Piece

A short video of the student performing a section of a solo, band piece, etude, district etude or method book.

State your name, instrument and the piece. Please include the letters or measure numbers of the excerpt.

Example: Ron White, double bass, Gavotte from the 3 rd Cello Suite, Measures 1 –20.
